The day after the US president election on 5 November, the mainstream media will wheel out mainstream commentators to give their very mainstream views on what they think it all means.

THE LEFT LANE is NOT part of the mainstream media. When we have our US post-election wrap up on Zoom at 17:00 on Thursday 7th of November, we will be presenting three US socialists as our guests. They care about the climate crisis, oppose the Israeli genocide in Gaza, are angered by the threat of more wars, and challenge the escalating inequality globally and within the richest country in the world. One of our guests was himself a candidate for US president for the Green Party in 2020.

So if you are a progressive and can come to this trans-Atlantic forum on what the upcoming US presidential and Congressional elections mean, you should feel right at home. And there will be plenty of time to ask the type of questions you seldom hear canvassed on BBC News.

1. Howie Hawkins is a life-long socialist and was the presidential candidate of the Green Party of the United States in the 2020 US elections.

2. Matt Huber is a US geography professor, a researcher and writer on environmental issues, and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. (speaking in a personal capacity)
