A date for your diary: Monday 22 April (7:00 p.m.)
An informal discussion about how to improve The Left Lane
Launched in mid-January, it will soon be time for The Left Lane (TLL) to have a pause in the action and consider: What’s going right with this Substack newsletter? What’s going wrong? How can we improve this project?
So on the above date and time, we will be holding a one-hour Zoom session for subscribers only (free and paid) to informally and briefly discuss this project and how to make it function better.
I will give a brief backgrounder on why TLL was set up, its aims and how it functions (including its finances). And then the floor will be yours for the next 50 minutes to make your comments on and criticisms of TLL and to give suggestions for the road ahead.  Â
And just to add: I have been a journalist since 1967 and am a pretty tough old bird. I am very used to getting criticisms, negative and positive, and will really appreciate hearing yours.
The Left Lane is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting

One PS:Â TLL was never intended to be the platform for a single writer. We need more. Please be touch (theleftlanepolitics@gmail.com) if you have an idea for an article you would like to write OR you want to follow up on an idea for a piece that I already have OR you what to take up some type of editorial role (researcher? contacts finder? interviewer? proof-reader?) on a future project on the TLL agenda.
We can then have a one-to-one chat on Zoom and take it from there.
Apologies for the cheesy artwork above. But TLL is a low budget operation, I was very pressed for time, and the drawing was so cheesy it caught your eye, right?
